Callisto String Quartet

The Callisto String Quartet is a Melbourne-based ensemble dedicated to performing beautiful music for all occasions. We’re passionate about what we do and bring this love and energy to every one of our performances.

We are all music graduates of Melbourne University, and have been performing with orchestras and chamber ensembles around Australia for over ten years.

We usually play as a quartet, but sometimes as a trio, duo or soloist - just let us know what you’re after.

What we play…

Though we’re classically trained musicians, we love performing all genres of music, whether it’s a Baroque Concerto Grosso, a swinging Bossa Nova or an 80s power ballad. Whatever the vibe of your function, we’d love to bring your ideas to life.

Click on the link below to see what’s on our current repertoire list. If you can’t see the song you’re after, we can find it for you or commission a composer to do a special arrangement for your event.

Dear Natasha,

We just wanted to say a big thank you for the ceremony music on Saturday! We had so many guests coming up to us afterwards saying how beautiful it was. One person cried during the cello solo and my 8yo nephew who is learning the cello himself was listening super intently!

I can’t wait to see it on the video and am feeling sad I couldn’t be in two places at once to hear it all on Saturday! Thank you, we had such a wonderful day and will always remember your music. Sandra & Liam

Hello Natasha!

I can’t thank you enough for the effort and rehearsal you all must have put in to play those pieces so well. It was just superb. Even the guests, most who aren’t musicians, were blown away by it. They were telling me how much they loved it throughout the night. I’ll be sure to recommend you guys should the occasion arise. I hope you’re able to play those pieces again someday at another event – so lovely. Many thanks again.

THANK YOU! Your group did such a great job, you hit the brief perfectly and our guests have been raving about how much they enjoyed the music. My three year old nephew was particularly taken with the cello, he has been wandering around with a toy guitar ever since, flipping it upside down to play it just like the cello! Very cute. Thanks so much again for all your help, please pass our thanks onto the rest of the ladies.

Hi Natasha, please extend our heartfelt thanks to all the members of the Callisto Quartet for yesterday’s performance. We had a room full of AMEB Board members, examiners and Directors of Music from around Victoria who all appreciated the music provided by the musicians of Callisto. It was a very elegant event which really made everyone reflect on the work of music education over the last 100 years. Thanks again.

To the very talented ladies of Callisto String Quartet, a big thank you for being part of our ceremony. Your music was just so beautiful and created the perfect ambience for our big day. I won’t forget hearing the song start as I walked down the aisle with my dad. Such a special moment. Thanks again! Love Kristy and Ben.
